This is the structure of the piece:

Phrase	Bars
1	8	It starts on G# minor and modulates an ascending third to the relative major (B major).
2	8	Variant of the previous phrase. This time we start on B major and modulate (ascending third) to D# minor.
3	5	We return to G# minor. We finish on the dominant.
4	5	We start on G# minor, go through B major and end on the dominant of G# minor.

The four phrases are repeated with slight variations. A five bar coda ends the piece.
