The Passacaglia

The passacaglia is also of Hispanic origin. It is based on a repetitive harmonic plan with a melodic bass line. Here are the first measures of Bach's Passacaglia in C minor BWV 582 for organ by J. S Bach. The melodic line of the bass is played in the first eight measures:
