Third variation

The first two notes may make us think that the G major chord from the previous measure is now a G minor chord. Yet, the following notes show that it is a diminished seventh chord (C# - E - G - Bb) that is used as a vii degree of the ii degree:

Is now a secondary diminished chord of the ii degree:

Is now a ii degree in first inversion:


The dominant chord in measure 11:

Is substituted for a vii degree of C minor:
